According to a study, the most dependable systems, which are dominated by wind power, can supply electricity demand 72 to 91 percent of the time in the nations surveyed, even without energy storage. On the other hand, solar power now dominates systems, which can meet demand 83 to 94 percent of the time with 12 hours of energy storage capacity.
